Water effect

Hello!

Today I’m going to teach you how to create a water effect.

First start with a new document. The size doesn’t matter. Just be sure that you have room in the canvas for your artistic side to unleash it self. Press D to set the Background and Foreground colors to default.

1. Create a new layer. Fill it using the bucket tool.The color doesn’t matter. Name the layer "my background" and Right Click it and select blending options from the menu.
2. On the left side of the window that appeares click the Pattern Overlay and then click on a pattern icon that appears in that submenu. Select a pattern that you like.

Every Photoshop comes with some patterns.

3. After you have selected the pattern click OK to apply.
4. Create a new layer and take the Brush tool from the Tools. Right click on the canvas and set the Master Diameter to about 15 px and the Hardness to 100%.
5. Draw a small circle similar to a drop of water. It should be black. If not make it black.
6. Set the Fill Opacity to the brush layer 3% and right click on it and select Blending options.
7. Use the following options:

8. In the Styles menu there is a little arrow (see the image bellow).

Click on it and select New style. Name it and you have your self a water effect style that you can use on text brushes ….
